my name is tukru. i make things. i'm from a small town in southwest finland where street signs are in swedish, then in finnish. i live in a small town in south east england that gave chavs their name. i came here to study photography and i stayed after because i fell in love with a local boy who has a large collection of ash records and star wars toys. we live at his parents because i'm on the dole i work as the webmaster type for a local toyshop and he's trying to get his menswear label off the ground. it's not ideal but it's alright. we used to share his single bed in his tiny room cluttered with star wars, records, dvds, old books, bag fulls of photocopies, unicorns and dirty clothes. but now i've got a little council flat in town and he's saving up / trying to get a 'dayjob' so he can afford to move in and pay his bit.

i used to go see bands a lot but something happened and i don't anymore. this may be either because i'm permanently skint (the excuse) or because there isn't much around that tickles my fancy quite enough (surely not??) the only band these days it seems that has enough power over me to make me extremely stupid trips (and spend 28 euros on some badges, wtf) are the ark. ([info]theark) then again, it has been like that for almost seven years now, old habits die hard. especially when the band gets slowly more brilliant. <3 then again, at the moment i'm likely to go a bit silly for fall out boy too. i like cooking, knitting, indie pop, star wars duvets, baths, lentils, vampires, juvenile delinquents, hollyoaks and amy winehouse. i should propably just be a housewife but as far as i know that wouldn't pay the rent.
